1. Stairway to Heaven  (Talamanca)

Distance: 8k – 11k

Total Elevation: 120m – 240m

Rating: Easy+ to Medium+

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

Leaving Talamanca near the fish shack, we run up and over the rocks, past a secret beach, climbing on quiet dirt roads until we descend a huge staircase and through the woods to another beach.  We then run along a quiet road back to Talamanca, and for a longer run, we can run through the UNESCO-protected wetlands with their ancient Moorish compuertas.

2. One Step Beyond (Ibiza Town)

Distance: 9.5k

Total Elevation: 245m

Rating: Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

On this circular route we run along a dried out torrente abundant with wild herbs, past several cal ovens and a sitja (charcoal oven), through a clearing with wonderful views west, and past an abandoned ancient finca.  Finally we arrive at the top of some crazy stairs cut into a hill overlooking Ibiza Town – the perfect mirador from which to view the city and Dalt Vila.

3. Salt Of The Earth (Salinas)

Distance: 4k – 10k

Total Elevation: 80m

Rating: Easy

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

This is a flat route except for one hill which climbs through some woods, giving us lovely views of the salt lakes & the sea.  On the 10k route we also run past a watch tower & along Salinas beach.

4. I Can See Clearly (Sant Jordi)

Distance: 8k – 10k

Total Elevation: 270m – 350m

Rating: Medium to Hard

Duration: 90 to 120 minutes

We think Sant Jordi is the most stunning part of the island to run in.  We know a number of beautiful routes in this area, some of which have some of the highest total elevations of all our runs and very technical terrain.  We will run (and walk) along small tracks through the woods and up rocky paths that lead to wonderful views of Salinas and Formentera.

5. Take Me To The River (Sant Josep)

Distance: 6.5k – 11k

Total Elevation: 135m – 300m

Rating: Easy to Medium +

Duration: 60 to 120 minutes

We don’t actually run along a river but a torrent (which only fills with water when there’s rain), but nevertheless this is a lovely undulating run, mostly on tracks and trails, through the woods and past remote houses.

The run can be extended to 11k, which takes us up a quiet road & then steps, up to a chapel with views over Salinas.  Tough, but worth it.  (We can walk/run up the hill to the chapel!)

6. Ghost Town (Sant Agustí)

Distance: 9k

Total Elevation: 260m

Rating: Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

Leaving a small village from in front of the beautiful whitewashed church, we run along undulating trails to Sant Josep, through Sant Josep, out & up along quiet roads to a deserted open air nightclub – you won’t believe it ‘til you see it!

7. Solid As A Rock (Cala Vadella)

Distance: 9k

Total Elevation: 260m

Rating: Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

We start with a tough climb on the road leaving Cala Vadella but quickly get onto countryside trails.  We join a quiet road for a short time before turning into some woods with amazing views of Es Vedra.  We then run through more woods & an urbanization back down to Cala Vadella.

8. Time and Space (Platja Comte)

Distance: 8k

Total Elevation: 150m

Rating: Easy +

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

This run has it all!  A mix of coast and trails, 3 coves (small beaches), a rave cave and the ‘Time and Space’ Sculpture.  This route can be added to either “A Pirate’s Life for Me” to make an approx. 17k run.

9. A Pirate’s Life For Me (Platja Comte)

Distance: 9k

Total Elevation: 120m

Rating: Easy +

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

This fairly flat run takes us through woods, along 2 beaches & around 2 headlands, including an ancient watch tower & a view of Es Vedra.  This route can be added to either “Time and Space” or  “Walking On The Moon” to make an approx. 18k run.

10. Walking On The Moon (Port D’Es Torrent)

Distance: 7.5k

Total Elevation: 220m

Rating: Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

We hug the coast for the first part of this run, including parts that look like a lunar landscape!  We then run inland along trails back to the beach we started at.  This route can be added to “A Pirate’s Life For Me” to make an 18k run.

11. Go West (Sant Antoni)

Distance: 7k / 8k

Total Elevation: 190m / 300m

Rating: Easy + / Medium

Duration: 60 / 90 minutes

Leaving San An on the west of the island, we head north, hugging the coast.  We then turn inland, running along quiet tracks and through the woods back to San An.

The longer version of this route takes us up to the chapel high above San Antonio, where we have wonderful views of the whole town.  The route back down is very steep but we can take our time!

12. A Valley Wide (Forada, Sant Antoni)

Distance: 6.5k – 9k

Total Elevation: 115m – 130m

Rating: Easy to Easy+

Duration: 60 minutes

Both the short and long routes take us along inland trails and quiet roads,  through orange orchards and into the stunning Buscastell Valley.  With its bubbling  water source, Es Broll, watermill and terraces of dry stone walls, you won’t believe you’re in 21st Century Ibiza!

The long route leaves from Sant Mateu and takes us past vineyards.

13. A View To A Kill (Sant Mateu)

Distance: 5k – 7k

Total Elevation: 170m – 300m

Rating: Easy+ to Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

We get killer views of the sea and majestic cliffs of the north on this short circular run.  We run on tracks and paths, through a meadow and orchards.  The long version adds on a steep decline down to an amazing natural rock bridge overlooking the sea…. totally worth the steep run back up again!

14. Heartbreak Hotel (Portinatx)

Distance: 7k

Total Elevation: 170m

Rating: Easy+

Duration: 60 minutes

Starting from the furthest beach in Portinatx, we run along very rocky terrain, hugging the coast.  We pass the 50m tall Punta Moscarter Lighthouse, and continue until we get to Cala D’en Serra, which is overlooked by an abandoned, overgrown, never-completed 1970s hotel…. another crazy Ibiza legacy!  Note that whilst this route is fairly flat, the terrain is very rocky and rugged.

15. Working in a (silver) Mine (Sant Carles)

Distance: 9k

Total Elevation: 160m

Rating: Easy+

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

This circular route is fairly flat and is mostly along quiet dirt tracks, as well as through some wonderful  woods.  The highlight is a run around some abandoned ancient Phoenician silver mines – the whole area is a like a giant, beautiful rock garden!

16. Well Well Well (Sant Llorenc)

Distance: 9k – 11k

Total Elevation: 200m – 220m

Rating: Medium+

Duration: 90 minutes

This inland run close to Atzaro Agroturismo takes us along trails and quiet roads through beautiful countryside.  On the 11k route we visit an ancient well & a trull (olive press) in an abandoned building.

17. Tutti Frutti (Santa Gertrudis)

Distance: 6.5k – 8.5k

Total Elevation: 70m – 160m

Rating: Easy

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

The woods in Santa Gertrudis are simply gorgeous and we have a number of different routes through them!  Starting at the beautiful Santa Gertrudis church, we will head to the trails, past loads of herbs and fruit trees and over a charming little bridge.

Total Elevation: 250m – 350m

Rating: Medium to Medium+

19. On The Beach (Cala Llonga)

Distance: 7.5k

Total Elevation: 200m

20. Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door (Santa Agnes)

Distance: 7.5k

Total Elevation: 230m

Rating: Medium

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

This is one of our favourite routes!  We run through beautiful undulating woodland along the north west coast, with multiple stunning views of the arched rock of Ses Margalides.  We visit the ruins of a Moorish farmhouse, before heading to the 360 degree viewpoint ‘Heaven’s Gate’ (Puerta de Cielo).  This route can be very easily made shorter or longer… contact us to perfect it for you!

21. When the Boat Comes In (Cala Es Codolar)

Distance: 7.5k

On this route we follow the coast to run across 3 golden beaches, through some gorgeous fisherman´s huts, and along quiet inland trails.  As we´re on the east of the island, it´s amazing at sunrise!
